Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Kunst X collects on kunstx.online, why, and what your rights are. We collect as little as possible, we don’t sell data, and we don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

Visiting the website

Our web host processes the technical data every browser sends (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser and operating system) to deliver the site and keep it secure. These server logs are kept only as long as needed for that purpose. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Pages load the IBM Plex Sans font from Google Fonts and an animation library from unpkg.com; Web Stories load the AMP framework from cdn.ampproject.org. Your browser connects to these services directly, which transmits your IP address to them.

Cookies and local storage

The public website sets no cookies. If you close the newsletter panel on a blog article, your browser remembers that in its local storage so the panel stays hidden for a while; nothing is sent to us. The admin area uses one session cookie for logging in.

You can subscribe to emails from Kunst X on blog articles and on the COS page. We store your email address, the date and time you signed up and confirmed, the page you signed up on, the wording of the consent you agreed to and a shortened IP address (last part removed) as proof of that consent. We first send a confirmation email; you are only subscribed after you click the link in it (double opt-in).

Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We keep your address until you unsubscribe — every email contains an unsubscribe link, or email us. After unsubscribing we keep only the record that you unsubscribed, so we don’t email you again.

Future users sign-up

On kunstx.online/future-users you can sign up to hear when an app is released. We store your name, email address, the app you chose, your message, the date and time, the consent wording and a shortened IP address. We use this only to contact you about that app. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We delete it when you ask us to.

Contact and request forms

When you request a free report on Email Fix or Security Fix, or send an enquiry on the COS page, we receive your name, email address and the details you enter (domain, company, role, message) by email. COS enquiries are also saved on our server with a shortened IP address. We use this only to answer your request. Legal basis: steps prior to a contract at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We delete enquiries that don’t lead to a project after 12 months.

Startup Brand Guidelines download

To download the free Startup Brand Guidelines you enter your email address and, optionally, your name. We receive them by email so we know who downloaded the guide. We only add you to our newsletter if you tick the box for it, and then only after you confirm by email.

We don’t sell or rent personal data. It is stored on our web server and in our email inbox, and is only shared with service providers that host them for us, or when the law requires it.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can withdraw consent at any time; this doesn’t affect processing before the withdrawal. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority.
